Schedule a Teaching Observation

Ready to start building your teaching portfolio? Looking for feedback to aid in your professional development? Schedule a teaching observation with TADP!

Why get a teaching observation? Teaching observations allow for us to receive feedback on how we can grow as instructors and recognize what we are doing well! This feedback allows for you to understand your teaching strengths and areas of growth. It is also great for when you are thinking about writing a teaching philosophy statement!

Who will be doing the observation? Either the TADP Manager, Dr. Ashley Harlow, or one of the graduate student consultants who have been pedagogically trained will complete the observation.

What happens during a teaching observation? After you fill out the request form, a member from the TADP team will reach out to you to schedule a time to observe your discussion section, lab, guest lecture, etc. We will meet prior to the observation to discuss the course and anything you are looking for us to pay specific attention to. We will observe the course and then schedule a post-observation meeting where we will provide you with a data-driven observation memo that includes your strengths and areas of growth. We will go over it together, providing recommendations on your teaching.

How do I sign up for an observation? Fill out the form below and someone will get back to you shortly!
